Privacy Policy
This page explains what K2Projects collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain on purpose.
Effective 2 November 2026. Run by K2Projects.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run your account and your workspaces.
- Account details. Your email address and display name. We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your email. We do not ask for a password.
- Your work. Projects, tasks, comments, dates, and updates you create. This includes files you upload and updates you publish for stakeholders.
- Billing records. Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number. We keep your plan, subscription status, and invoice references.
- Support messages. Messages you send through Help, and our replies.
- Connections you approve. Agent connections and Application Programming Interface (API) keys you create. We record what you approved, and which workspaces each connection can use.
- Visit counts. First-party counts of page visits, signup clicks, useful work, and purchases. We use these counts to understand whether the site works.
How we use it
- To run your account, workspaces, and projects.
- To take payment and manage your subscription.
- To send sign-in codes and account notices by email.
- To answer support requests.
- To keep the service safe and fix faults.
- To count visits and signups, so we can improve the site.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not fingerprint your device.
Cookies and browser storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries.
- A session cookie keeps you signed in. The service cannot work without it.
- A session-only cookie records where a visit first came from. It ends with your browser session.
- Visit measurement uses browser session storage to avoid counting one visit twice.
Anonymous measurement respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends either signal, we do not record the visit count.
Who we share it with
We share data only with services we need to run K2Projects.
- Stripe processes payments and hosts the billing portal.
- Our email provider sends sign-in codes and notices.
- Our hosting provider runs the site and the database.
- Our file storage provider stores files you upload.
Each provider may use your data only to provide its service to us. We may also share data when the law requires it, or to protect the service from abuse.
Your choices
- Export your work at any time. Every workspace export includes archived projects and tasks. Exports are free on every plan. See Your data on the home page.
- Delete your account. Open Account and choose Delete account. Sign in first.
- Ask us a question. Sign in, then open Help. You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Stop visit counts. Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Some billing records must stay on file after deletion. Tax and accounting rules require this. We keep only what those rules require.
How long we keep it
We keep account and workspace data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your workspace content. Billing records stay, as described above. Backups clear on a rolling cycle after deletion.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection. Access to systems is limited to what each job needs. No online service is fully safe, so we cannot promise perfect security. Tell us through Help if you think your account has been misused.
Children
K2Projects is a work tool for teams. It is not aimed at children. Please do not create an account for a child.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page. The new version will show a new effective date at the top. Big changes will also be noted on What’s new.
